Today the indigenous Kiranti-Kõits (Sunwar)

Today the indigenous Kiranti-Kõits (Sunwar) people of east-Nepal have lost everything due to brutal Hinduization and Christianization and thus have become identity-less. If anything they have at the moment to be proud of and narrate the tale of it to their future generation is their intangible linguistic heritage. This heritage is recorded and preserved in the recently appeared book Rimachema Hirssi published by Research Institute for Kirãtology (RIK) financially made possible by friends from the UK (Surya Ram Durbicha Sunwar and Hom Dasucha Sunwar) and Dr Dörte Borchers, Germany.
